Patricia den Boer is an organizational communication specialist who has successfully cultivated her skills and knowledge in the past 15 years in the fields of corporate and employee communication planning and management.
Patricia is a communications facilitator who helps to make people workplace contributors; integral parts of the enterprise. In so doing, she has assisted public and private organizations, associations, teams and individuals to develop practical communication strategies, tools and workshops that provide long-term cultural and financial gains for clients and their employees.
Her strategic approach to communication planning has helped organizations drive fear out of the workplace after downsizing; become more security conscious in todays technological workplace; reframe their missions, visions and values; ease organizational change in partnership with employees; and, build internal commitment to change that ultimately augments productivity.
In the last few years, Patricia has worked almost exclusively counselling and advising human resource managers and executive-level leaders on how best to communicate corporate goals, obtain greater employee involvement and increase morale through timely and to-the-point communications plans and products.
She also has extensive experience in communications project management in such areas as publications, video production, backgrounders, speeches, internal communiqués, brochures, presentations and electronic bulletin boards. She has applied her skills in mergers, downsizing, human resource development and performance management issues, and to organize and coordinate management/employee conferences.
Patricia holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Journalism from Carleton University and her background as a business and trade journalist has influenced her practical, results-oriented approach to strategic communication management.
